Eden Gardens

Eden Gardens stands the second largest cricket stadium in the world with a maximum capacity of 90,000. The stadium is famous for it’s large crowd and the electrifying atmosphere. It is said that a cricketer's cricketing education is complete only after he plays in front of a packed Eden Gardens. The owner of the stadium is Indian Army while the operator is Cricket Association of Bengal. The first IPL match was played at Eden gardens on April 2008. Eden gardens has hosted several world cup matches some of them are mentioned below
1.)1987 World Cup Final (Australia v/s England )– Aus won the match.
2.)1996 Cricket World Cup (India Vs Srilanka ) – Srilanka declared as winner
At Eden Gardens VVS Laxman played a fabulous innings of 281 to win the test against Australia for India after following on. Harbhajan Singh took first hat-trick for India . Anil Kumble took 6 wickets for just 12 runs. Eden Gardens has two ends namely High court end and Pavilion End. The Cricket Association of Bengal decide to renovate the stadium the scope of work includes a new clubhouse and players' facilities, upgrading the exterior wall to give the stadium a new look.

Tiger

Tiger Woods is now ranked World No.1 professional golf player. He has made over $110 million out of endorsements and gifts. He has a career Grand Slam, career PGA Tour wins and 16 World Golf Championship. Woods was born in 1975, Cypress, California. Woods began to play golf at the age of two. At age three, he shot a 48 over nine holes at the Navy Golf Club in Cypress, California. Woods endorses Nike, Inc and Titleis he has signed millions of Dollars of contract with these corporate. Woods won his 60th PGA Tour victory by shooting a course record 63 in the final round to win by two strokes. He is known for his iron play which is generally accurate, his recovery and bunker play is very strong, and his putting is so perfect and elegant which is possibly his greatest asset. Since his record-breaking win at the 1997 Masters Tournament, he has become the most watched golf player at all times

Ice Man

Stephen Rodger Waugh born in 1965, New South Wales, Australia. Former Australian cricket team captain. He stays calm in the even in the most hectic of situation so the public knick named him as the ICE MAN. He has played 168 matches and scored more than 10, 000 runs with a batting average of 51.06 with a top score of 200. In the shorter version of the game he has played 325 matches with a 7000 plus runs and batting average of 32.9. The 1987 world cup is the turning point in Stephen’s life. Waugh took over the captaincy of the one day side in 1997. Under his captaincy Australia won the 1999 World Cup and 16 consecutive test victories was like the feather on top of his cap. Waugh was ranked as the world's leading Test batsman . He made an unbeaten 112 as Australia defeated Pakistan in the First Test at Brisbane and scored 200 runs at 50.00 for the series. He scored his maiden ODI century only after ten years after his ODI debut against Sri Lanka.
