Stephen Rodger Waugh born in 1965, New South Wales, Australia. Former Australian cricket team captain. He stays calm in the even in the most hectic of situation so the public knick named him as the ICE MAN. He has played 168 matches and scored more than 10, 000 runs with a batting average of 51.06 with a top score of 200. In the shorter version of the game he has played 325 matches with a 7000 plus runs and batting average of 32.9. The 1987 world cup is the turning point in Stephen’s life. Waugh took over the captaincy of the one day side in 1997. Under his captaincy Australia won the 1999 World Cup and 16 consecutive test victories was like the feather on top of his cap. Waugh was ranked as the world's leading Test batsman . He made an unbeaten 112 as Australia defeated Pakistan in the First Test at Brisbane and scored 200 runs at 50.00 for the series. He scored his maiden ODI century only after ten years after his ODI debut against Sri Lanka.
